Recipes, range data,

Sec.01 Intended Users

Three shooters. One bench discipline.

User 01 1

Precision Rifle

Develop loads for matches and long-range hunting. ES, SD and MOA computed for every string, aggregated across every session.

User 02 2

Pistol & Competition

Dial in loads for accuracy or power factor. Rapid-entry keypad and dictation keep you moving between strings on a hot range.

User 03 3

Hunters

Maintain a small handful of go-to recipes you trust. Every detail of case prep, COAL, die settings — recorded, not remembered.

Sec.02 Feature Schedule

Six instruments
on one bench.

Hand Load doesn't recommend loads. It indexes what you already build, and reflects it back as useful insight over time.

01

Inventory

Cartridges, bullets, powders, primers, brass, firearms, presses, dies. Everything on your bench, indexed.

F-01
02

Recipes

Pick components, set charge weight, COAL and CBTO. Capture shoulder bump, bushing, seating and crimp settings.

F-02
03

Range Sessions

Log strings by date, location, firearm and distance. Mark fliers. Rate each string with a quick impression smiley.

F-03
04

Statistics

Average, extreme spread, standard deviation and MOA per string. Aggregated impression and count per recipe.

F-04
05

Rapid Entry & Dictation

A keypad-first screen for fast velocity entry. Or tap, say the number, done — without leaving the rifle.

F-05
06

iCloud Sync

Optional CloudKit sync across your iPhone and iPad. Private database. Works offline; reconciles on reconnect.

Sec.03 Operating Cycle

Four phases. One loop.

Phase 01

Inventory

Log every component on the bench — brass headstamp, powder, primer, bullet.

Phase 02

Recipe

Combine components into a load. Capture charge, COAL, CBTO, die settings.

Phase 03

Range

Shoot strings against the recipe. Enter velocities by keypad or dictation.

Phase 04

Verdict

Stats roll up across every session. The data tells you which loads belong.

07 / Safety

A journal, not load data.

Hand Load is a record-keeping tool. Users must independently verify every load against current published manufacturer data before reloading. The app does not provide, recommend, or vouch for any charge.
